Over 700 pages, Yet Easy to Navigate

Garco Buildings had a problem: they had hundreds of pages of valuable content and a broken delivery system. Developing this site for Garco was a real challenge. The original site had been up for a few years, it contained broken navigation, many dead end pages and much of the text was done with white letters on a black background (making it very tedious to read for a business site). Added to this, most of the content was the building specifications which were supposed to be delivered using third party software, which didn't work.

Over seven months in development, the site was completely redesigned to make it user friendly, delivering the desired content with no more than two or three clicks. All of the building specification drawings were scanned and provided in two resolutions and two downloadable formats. The sales and management staff were photographed, and their contact information provided.

One of the real tests of any web site is the length of a visitor stay. While the average stay is under two minutes, the Garco site average is consistently over twelve minutes. As a final part of the production, the entire web site, along with additional information, was recreated on an interactive CD that was given to Garco's clients, and used as a promotional item for prospective clients.
